Hello World

Hi there! I’m Rojesh. I’m a Mechanical Engineer turned AI Engineer now an Engineering Manager.

When I was in grade 5, with help of some of my classmates, we covertly built a toy robot in an unused empty room. One day while cleaning, the caretaker of the building found our hidden lab. That was a time when the Maoist Revolution was taking its peak. She saw those wires, batteries, some electronic components and got anxious and took it to the principal. Luckily, we were not reported to the police and were allowed to continue our work in the classroom itself. We did build a simple toy robot but faced many hardware challenges. This robot could only follow the commands we give it through remote buttons. I was intrigued by the thought of building a robot that could perform tasks all by itself.

Around the same year, Dad got us our first computer. Initially all I did was play NFS, Road Rash and other games on it, but I was amazed with how they could do so many things and awestruck with the power of the Internet being able to get any information from any part of the world. Exploring further I came across the idea of programming the computer and started learning Python. Even after two decades, I’m still coding in Python.
