Background
Fusemachines launched the Fellowship to address the gap between academic ML education and industry-ready skills. The program structure was inspired by ColumbiaX’s MicroMasters in AI.
Structure
Fellows complete a sequence of courses covering foundational mathematics and computer science for AI, machine learning, deep learning, and specialization tracks (Computer Vision or NLP). The capstone is a real-world project with mentorship from Fusemachines engineers.
Impact
Hundreds of fellows trained across Nepal. Many graduates went on to work in AI roles at Fusemachines and other tech companies, or pursued further study abroad. The program also expanded to the US and Dominican Republic.
